Charities and Sponsorships

Here at Virtue Money we believe in giving back to our local community

Throughout the years we have been raising money for numerous charities as well as showing our support to local teams through sponsorships.
Take a look at the work we are proud to be apart of

Virtue Money have selected The Caring Cafe as our chosen charity for this year (2018-2019).

The Caring Cafe (situated in Linlithgow) provides a meeting place in the heart of our community that gives people with dementia and their carers a chance to meet others in a similar situation.

Bo'ness Community Bus

Virtue Money are sponsoring this fantastic local service that provides free transport to those over the age of 16 from Bo’ness to Edinburgh via Blackness. Bo’ness and Area Community Bus Association is a registered charity which runs a not for profit minibus service which is managed by a small group of voluntary trustees, who along with our staff of two drivers, sustain the minibus service. This services has helped the day-to-day lives of many in the local community and Virtue Money are proud to be apart of it.

Virtue is a Kindness

Since 2012, Virtue Money has been raising money for a number of different charities throughout the years. Through numerous fund raising activities including abseiling off the Forth Road Bridge, to bake sales, to cycling the distance of Britain and back! We have raised £70,396 so far as a company and we aim to continue doing this as Virtue is a Kindness.

Team Accelerace

Virtue Money are proud to be Gold Sponsors of the Team Accelerace. Team Accelerace are a team of all-girls from Linlithgow Academy that are representing the UK in the World Finals of  “F1 in Schools” in Singapore in September 2018. “F1 in Schools” is a global STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) competition which requires the young competitors to both design and race a model F1 car. Teams have to design, then manufacture a car using a system known as CAM. Teams must also produce 2 portfolios before presenting their car as well as demonstrating a pit display of their car. A business plan is also required by each team which includes gaining sponsorships from companies in order to support their progression moving forward in the competition.

Here at Virtue Money we believe that females in STEM and women in Financial Services deserve to be acknowledged and promoted further. We believe that the girls will do their best at the competition in Singapore this September and we will be showing our support proudly by keeping everyone updated with their progress. Take a look at their story so far – http://teamaccelerace.com/our-sponsors

Team Accelerace

Virtue Money have had a busy few weeks with regard to meeting our sponsored F1 for schools team Accelerace. The girls have been preparing to compete in the world championships held in Singapore this week. Our advisers, Grant and Alan headed along to Linlithgow Academy to meet the girls and present them with a cheque to help them with their payments in Singapore. We wish the girls the best of luck at the competition and are looking forward to hearing all about it.

Off to Signapore

The girls left Edinburgh Airport yesterday morning to fly to Singapore. They we are very excited!

Once they landed, they were straight to work with handing over their cars which will go through scrutineering and will be held in parc ferme until racing. The next step will be the race. Good luck girls.

CHAS

Virtue money met with CHAS, our chosen charity from 2017/18 to present them with a cheque of the money raised throughout the year.

CHAS is a charity that provides full time support to families, babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. Virtue Money and Policy Services managed to raise £4,355 through our ‘Do The World for Charity’ which meant that every mile we walked, ran, cycled and even every book we managed to read, money was donated. Such a great cause that we are proud to be apart of.
